The Buy NZ Made campaign will continue to promote New Zealand products.
The Government’s decision to halt advertising funding for Buy Kiwi Made (the promotion achieved by the Green Party in their deal with the former Labour Government) will not affect Buy NZ Made.
Buy NZ Made is a separate, private sector undertaking funded by more than 1100 companies that are members of the campaign.
Buy NZ Made Director Marcia Dunnett says the ‘kiwi in the triangle’ will still be found in shops all over New Zealand.
“The need to draw New Zealanders’ attention to buying great locally-made products still remains and our work will continue.
“We are also looking forward to contributing to the Government’s upcoming review.
“Members of the Buy NZ Made campaign will be pleased to be consulted on future endeavours.”
